The first weeks of a new website are the quietest weeks it will ever have.

You buy the domain, you build the thing, you hit publish, and then nothing happens. Google hasn't found you yet. Nobody links to you. Your own mother can't find the site unless you text her the address. Every website you've ever heard of went through those weeks, and most of them went through them alone.

DebutBoard is a small answer to that, in two parts.

  • The board. A public list of brand-new websites, sent in by the people who run them. The board counts the clicks each listing sends and ranks the debuts by those clicks.
  • The guides. Plain-English guides for new small-business websites: getting found on Google and Bing, setting up a Business Profile, email that doesn't land in spam, and the launch-week checks that are easy to miss.

How listings work

An owner fills in the form on the board: the address, a name, the launch date and one line about the site. That goes into a review queue. Nothing in the queue is shown publicly, linked to, or counted. Each site gets opened and looked at, then approved or turned down. Only approved sites appear on the board.

House rules

  • Your own site only. List a site you run. Listings sent in for sites you don't run are turned down, or removed if they slip through.
  • New sites. The board is for debuts, sites in their first weeks or months, not your ten-year-old blog.
  • Real, working sites. Parked domains, "coming soon" pages, copied or scraped content and pages that exist only to send you somewhere else are turned down.
  • No junk. Spam, malware, scams, adult content, gambling and anything illegal are turned down or removed without discussion.
  • Free means free. A listing costs nothing. Rankings can't be bought. They're click counts from the board, nothing else.

How clicks are counted

Each "Visit" button passes through debutboard.com for a moment, adds one to that site's count, and sends you on. A click counts only when it comes from a DebutBoard page, and only once per visitor per site per day. Automated visits that identify themselves, like link previews and search-engine bots, are sent along but not counted. A determined person could still get around that, which is one more reason listings are reviewed.

The counts on the board started over on October 15, 2026, when these rules were added. Clicks from before then were counted with no filtering at all, so they aren't shown.

What we don't do

We don't pull contact details from domain-registration records. We don't buy lists. We don't cold-email anybody. If you got an email claiming to be from DebutBoard and you never listed a site here, it isn't from us.

Every listing comes in through the form from someone who says they run the site, and new listings are reviewed before they go up. The first listings are sites run by DebutBoard's owner, added to start the board. They're labeled "Run by DebutBoard's owner" so you can tell them apart.

How the guides are made

The guides are researched and drafted with AI tools, and checked against the official pages they're based on. The details are on the guides page. Nothing in the guides is sponsored.

Who runs this

DebutBoard is run by Bidwell LLC in Minnesota. Questions, corrections and takedown requests go to hello@debutboard.com. If a listing points at your domain and you didn't put it there, say the word and it's gone.
