What DebutBoard collects, and what it doesn't. Last updated October 19, 2026.
Who runs this
DebutBoard (debutboard.com) is run by Bidwell LLC in Minnesota. Questions about anything on this page go to hello@debutboard.com. Email sent to that address is forwarded through Cloudflare to the owner's Gmail inbox, where software helps sort it.
When you list a site
The form asks for the site's address, its name, its launch date and a one-line description. It doesn't ask for your name or an email address, and there are no accounts.
What you send goes into a review queue first. Nothing in the queue is public. If the listing is approved, all four details are published on the board, which is the point of the form. If it's turned down, it's deleted from the queue.
To slow down repeat submissions, the board remembers the IP address a listing came from (the number that identifies your internet connection) for two minutes. After that it's deleted. The IP address isn't stored with the listing.
When you click a listing
The board may add one to that site's click count, then sends you on to the site. To decide whether the click counts, it looks at three things your browser sends with every request: the page you clicked from, the browser name (the "user agent", so it can skip bots that say they're bots), and your IP address. So that one person counts only once per site per day, it keeps a one-way scrambled code (a hash) made from your IP address, the site, the date and a secret value. Without that secret, the code can't be turned back into your IP address, and it's deleted after 24 hours. The board doesn't store your IP address, your user agent, or any record of who clicked.
What gets logged automatically
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare logs the IP address, browser type and pages requested for each visit, to keep the site running and to block abuse. Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page views and load times with a small script. It doesn't use cookies.
Advertising
This site uses Google AdSense and may show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this site or to other sites. Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners show you ads based on those visits.
Google also lets other ad companies serve and measure ads here. Google publishes a list of the ad technology partners it works with, with a link to each one's privacy page, at Google's ad technology partners list. Google and its ad partners may place and read cookies in your browser, and may use web beacons and your IP address to collect information, whenever a page here loads Google's ad code or shows an ad.
You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings. You can opt out of other vendors' advertising cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Google explains how it uses data from sites like this one at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Google picks the ads, not DebutBoard. An ad here is not a listing and not a recommendation.
Children
This site isn't meant for children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their information.
